Cle De Peau Beaute is a high-end luxury cosmetic brand under beauty giant, Shiseido & this concealer is THE most popular product from the brand. For its hefty price tag (SGD112 for 5g), the CDP concealer have to a lot to prove. It is available in 4 shades & packaged in a twist stick. (Featured here is in Ivory shade)

My thoughts after 6 months of usage (tend to use on blemishes/uneven skintone more than under eyes)

TEXTURE – The concealer has a creamy texture & application is effortless. A single glide of the twist stick on the skin shows a consistent & even layer. Remarkably easy to blend as well. Doesn’t dry up too quickly, allowing blending time.

Half of concealer applied on skin (as shown above) blended into skin.

COVERAGE – Coverage is buildable from medium to full. I find this effective when covering uneven skintones/blemishes & freckles. Some concealer that I’ve tried dulls the part of the skin I’ve applied on but this has a brightening effect.

APPLICATION – Either use the tips of the ring finger to dap or blend with a concealer brush. (Highly recommend the CDP Concealer Brush as well. The brush picks up pigments easily, so does not need too much of the concealer. Bristles are soft and easy to blend, leaving no streaks) Best applied under loose powder. Does not need to be applied over foundation. Can be applied just on bare skin.

LASTING POWER – It lasts the entire work day for me usually (especially when I set with loose powder). When applied on bare skin, it lasts about 5-6hours for me.

THE GOOD – Portable, effective, easy application, doesn’t crease, doesn’t dull the skin, blends seamlessly, brightening effect.

TIPS – If you have applied the concealer when you’re having a cold, remember to gently wipe the surface of the concealer with a cotton ball soaked in rubbing alcohol or use cosmetic sanitising wipes.

THE BAD – Pricey (but 5g seems to lasts a long long time especially for spot application)

BEST APPLIED – Anyway you prefer – over foundation, under loose powder or on bare skin. If your skin is on the dry side, apply concealer over foundation and avoid loose powder.

VERDICT – LOVE THIS TO BITS.  95% (5% taken away for the cost!)
