How would I not be hyped up over a homegrown brand who takes on issues where hits us straight into the heart? Post natal & menopausal hair loss, pigmentation, dark spots, sensitive skin are some of the few concerns that they address. What’s more commit to having more than 95% natural ingredients in their products? Excited yet? 🙂

Biconi, a local premium brand, develops natural products with a combination of noni enzyme & virgin coconut oil. Noni is a superfood with high antioxidant content & over 170 vitamins, minerals & nutrients. Biconi even has their own noni farm! (Note to self to ask for a visit to the farm someday). I have an obsession with Extra Virgin Coconut Oil recently & been adding it into my diet for its array of health benefits. Besides its well-known antioxidant properties, Coconut Oil is known for moisturising naturally. For really dry areas like my heels, I’d slap on some Coconut Oil, massage into my skin, slip on a pair of socks, go to bed & wake up with soft heels!

The Hair Revitalising Shampoo Bar with Biconi Noni Enzymes was developed to target women with post natal or menopausal hair loss due to hormonal imbalances. It vitalises hair growth while repairing hair follicles from inside out. The healing enzymes from Biconi Noni Enzymes will penetrate in a cellular level to promote hair regrowth & all without the use of harmful chemicals.

First impressions: I found the shampoo bar was a little tricky to use on the hair. It was clearly my first time using a shampoo bar. On the other hand, I found it extremely thoughtful & useful to include the Biconi Soap Saver Bag that not only helps prolong the lifespan of the bar but also very easy for the soap to dry when hanged.

It took a while before I got used to using the Hair Revitalising Shampoo Bar. First I will lather the soap (in the bag) with my hands, and gather the foam onto my hair. Next, I will rub the soap onto the ends of my hair (I’ve really long hair so it takes quite a while). Then I will massage onto my scalp & leave the shampoo on for a few minutes before rinsing. My hair feels squeaky clean after the wash & reveals a healthy shine. I even resorted to only washing my hair on the second day & found that my scalp was not as oily as before using the shampoo bar. The Hair Revitalising Shampoo Bar is retailing at SGD$59.

Subsequently, I would apply the Biconi Hair Repair Conditioner at the ends of my hair & rinse. It detangles my hair & leaves my hair moisturised. What’s interesting about this conditioner, besides containing Noni Enzymes & Virgin Coconut Oil like the Shampoo Bar, is that it is also made from rich cocoa butter! I love how Biconi smartly incorporates natural ingredients together to better hydrate the hair. This is retailing at SGD$24.

The Radiant Skin Cleaner Bar from Biconi targets pigmentation & dark spots. This is made from Biconi Noni Enzyme, Virgin Coconut Oil and including Glycerin (a skin-repairing, moisturising ingredient). Being made up of 97% natural ingredients, the Radiant Skin Cleanser Bar is a multi-tasker & safe for sensitive skin. The antioxidant ingredients help heal the skin from within while glycerin & Virgin Coconut Oil hydrates & cleanse the skin. Along with Rosemary, Clove, Cinnamon & Sweet Orange Essential Oils, they help to reduce any signs of inflammation & soothes the skin.

First impressions: My skin doesn’t feel tight after cleansing (which is my first precedent when trying out a new cleanser). & it cleansers well, leaving my skin feeling refreshed & soft! I actually love using bar cleansers as they seem to last forever but certain bar cleansers tend to leave your skin feeling tight as it tends to over-cleanse.

The Biconi products listed above are free from parabens, SLSs, sulphates, mineral oils, alcohol. They are also not animal tested, are vegan friendly & the cleaner bar & shampoo bar are 100% handmade!
