I set my New Year resolutions every year & this year, I’ve decided to put in more effort in giving back to society. The world needs a lot more kindness & I’m dedicating 2017 to that. When Kiehl’s revealed their plans for their collaboration late last year, I got really excited! Knowing a brand as big as Kiehl’s so passionate about charity is so heartwarming. Kiehl’s long history of philanthropy initiative focuses on 3 pillars – AIDS research & prevention, the well being of children and environment issues.
In each country that Kiehl’s is in, they commit themselves to giving back to local communities along with their global programs. This year, Kiehl’s Singapore has partnered with Ginette Chittick, a woman of many roles (Educator in Lassalle’s Design Faculty, Co owner of fashion labels FruFru & Tigerlily, Eductor, Artist of Astreal Band, DJ and Tapestry Weaver), for Singapore’s Children Cancer Foundation (CCF). Ginette Chittick is performing in Singapore’s Laneway Festival this year and together with Kiehl’s, the purchase of any of the 3 Limited Edition Kiehl’s X Ginette Chittick designed creams, SGD$2 will be donated to CCF.
If you look at each design carefully, it’s more than just colours and inspiration quotes.
“Believe in Love, Always,” features one side of the heart that’s completely red and the other with different warm colours including grey. The grey represents the obstacles that exist in love and the two halves of the heart signifies two people putting their best in a relationship to make things work. & this is on Kiehl’s Ultra Facial Cream, a cult favourite since the 70’s, suited for Normal to Dry Skin. Retailing for SGD$49 for 50ml.
“Find Inspiration In Nature, Wonders Abound,” takes inspiration from flowers and plants, especially of the ferns that sit on tree branches. Ferns, a sight we commonly see in Singapore, brings nostalgia in all of us & this is on Kiehl’s Super Multi-Corrective Cream, a anti-aging moisturiser that targets signs of aging. Retailing for SGD$49 for 50ml.
“Music is Food For The Soul,” features Ginette Chittick’s love for rock music. With musical notes and bold colours, this is on Kiehl’s Ultra Facial Oil-Free Gel Cream, a lightweight hydrating cream that targets a 24 hour hydration & shine control. Suited for Normal to Oil Skin. Retailing for SGD$95 for 50ml.
